Our speaker will be Humboldt County Clerk/Recorder/Registrar of Voters, Carolyn Crnich who be informing us about her job and will take Questions. One subject, we all are interested in---REDISTRICTING!!!

FYI--- Last week at the fair, one of our patriots informed us our emails we have been sending out via the "Google-group" end up in his SPAM Box---please check your SPAM Box for our emails. If they are in your SPAM BOX--Click on the email & then click on "NOT SPAM" hopefully you will then be receiving our notices!!! Please do this as the "Google-Group" is a much easier way to communicate with our group.

Planning Commission: Marijuana Land Use Ordinance.
There is a planning commission meeting on August 18, 2011, beginning at 6 p.m. This Thursday. On the agenda is Marijuana Land Use Ordinance.
This is Item #1 on the agenda.
The staff recommendation: "Open the public hearing, receive the staff report, supplemental information & public testimony; Deliberate on proposed ordinance revisions and either: 1) continue hearing to date certain and instruct Planning staff as to additional changes requested; or 2) adopt a motion to make the required findings and approve the amendments (with or without changes) and forward the amendments to the Board of Supervisors for their consideration and possible adoption."
One of the items that was holding up the establishment of a "medical" marijuana dispensary in our neighborhood. FYI one is being planned in the Glendale area --location to be next to Murphy's Market in the old mini mart location. The public has not been noticed on this yet....so far only the agencies have been notified on this.

In preparation for our "Tax Day Rally" ~ we will be making signs as we listen to patriotic music -- so if you have makers bring them, poster board, and anything you think might make a good sign!!!
****Things we still need for the 15th of April--a small gas powered generator. We need to plug the PA system into it.**** if you have one that we can use please Call Gwen @ 498-3101

Theme--"SOS" ~ Save Our State ~ Reduce~Reform~Revive
We will be having speakers & music, & lots of flags!!!
If you have Tea Party Apparel ~ Please wear it!!! If not, then please wear your patriotic clothing!!!

Author of "Now Tell Me I Was Wrong" He is one of nations leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty & independence. (Thank you!!! Del Norte Tea Party Patriots & Sheriff Dean Wilson & Mary Wilson!!!) Suggested Donation @ door- $5 to help cover expenses

Opportunities to Make Your Voices Heard re: PG&E Smart Meters
County Supervisors Meeting – Tuesday Nov. 30th at 10:30am. If you are unable to attend but would like to submit a letter to the supervisors to be placed into the record please do so. You must submit 7 copies. The smart meter issue is on the agenda so it will be a hot topic item for discussion.

PG&E Outreach Meetings
Three outreach meetings are planned in Humboldt County.
The first will be on Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Eureka City Hall, 531 K St., Eureka.
On Tuesday, the PG&E representatives will be in Garberville from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Best Western Humboldt House Inn at 701 Redwood Drive.
On Dec. 1, they will be in Fortuna from noon to 7 p.m. at the River Lodge Conference Center in the Fireside Room, 1800 Riverwalk Drive.

We will be meeting at the Eureka Veterans Memorial Building at 1020 H Street, Eureka. The meeting will begin as usual at 6:15 but we will gather at 5:30 for a social time for those that are interested.
We will be discussing election results and the impact on our lives at the county, state, and national level. We will also be discussing, “Where do we go from here?”
Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Agendas will be posted here as they become available.
