9/11 MEMORIAL PARADE
Main Street, Fortuna
The entire community is encouraged to participate.
Please bring an American Flag to carry in the parade.
The parade will start at the City parking lot on N Street, between 11th and 12th Streets. The route will go down 11th Street to Main Street, then along Main Street TO THE VETERANS MEMORIAL BLDG . There will be a ceremony to honor and remember those who LOST their lives on September 11, 2001.

Monday, December 6th: The HTPP board has decided to show support for the nomination of Councilman Kenneth Zanzi and they will be presenting a letter of support for him at the Monday evening's meeting. The meeting is at Fortuna's City Hall - that portion of the council meeting will probably be around 6:30 pm. You are welcome to come show your support.
Tuesday, December 7th: National Pearl Harbor Day - Join in a Day of Remembrance at the Fortuna Fireman’s Hall on Fortuna Blvd at 12:00
Thursday, December 9th: Monthly meeting at the Eureka Veterans Memorial Building at 1020 H Street, Eureka. The meeting will begin as usual at 6:15 but we will gather at 5:30. In celebration of the holidays we invite everyone to bring their favorite holiday cookie and join us for a social hour discussing current events and strategies. Coffee will be provided...

★ Ferndale Happenings for Veterans Day ★
November 10: Historical Film, "Letters Home." Letters written to their families and to The Ferndale Enterprise by U.S. Armed Forces servicemen and women from Ferndale/Bear River/Mattole between February 1941 and late 1946. Full-length feature created by the Ferndale Museum has letters read, often by members of their families, with original footage on local war efforts by Jack Tipple, Sr., plus hundreds of photographs, video interviews with veterans, and widows, children, and family and friends of veterans. Ferndale Veteran’s Memorial Building, shown twice, 4 and 7 p.m. Tickets available in Ferndale at the Museum, Lentz Department Store, and Rings Pharmacy and in Fortuna from Green’s Pharmacy. Museum members, $10; non-members, $25 (includes a one year membership); World War II veterans and/or their spouses free of charge. Advance tickets recommended.

Please join in the “Salute to Veterans” in Fortuna at 2pm at the Veterans Building on Main Street.

Here is your opportunity. A group called the “Citizens for the Republic” will be having Constitutional classes on December 14th & 15th at 7pm at Shaw Computers in Fortuna. I hope many of you take advantage of this opportunity
